The Mantis is a design for a small scale forest management vehicle. Unique to this design is the fact that the arms are steered by telechir, or force feedback. Movement of the operators arms corresponds to movement of the mechanical arms.

The Mantis is equipped with a whinch and can pull heavy loads through the forest by anchoring with it's claws to trees or stumps.
